TERMS OF BUSINESS AGREEMENT
Status . We act as an Independent Intermediary (Broker) on your behalf. We offer a full range of insurance products and our services include: advising you on your insurance cover with insurers to meet your requirements and helping you with any subsequent event or alteration to your insurance that we have placed on your behalf. We place insurance with a number of insurers and providers and will advise you should we have any special arrangements with them or should you have to deal direct with for ongoing administration. We may issue policies and handle claims on behalf of some insurers.
Disclosure of Information. It is important that you understand that any information, statements or answers made by you to us or your insurer are your responsibility and must be correct. Any failure to disclose facts material to the insurer or any inaccuracies in your answers may invalidate your insurance cover in part or in whole. Facts material to the insurance are matters of information which may influence your insurer as to the acceptability or otherwise of your Proposal or Renewal and must be disclosed immediately. Please do consult us if you are in doubt on any aspect. The disclosure of information not only applies at commencement and renewal of your policy but also at anytime during the period of insurance.
Confidentiality and Data Protection. All personal and sensitive information about our customers is treated as Private and Confidential. We will only use and disclose the information we have about private individuals in the normal course of arranging and administrating their insurances and will not disclose any information to any other parties without their written consent. Unless we are notified of any changes, we shall assume the personal and sensitive data we hold about our customers is correct and shall use it to provide quotations when policies fall due for renewal.
We may pass information about you to credit reference agencies for the purpose of arranging payments by instalments and may also pass to them details of your payment record with us.
Under the Data Protection Act 1998, private customers have a right to see personal information about them that we hold in our records. A charge maybe made for this service. If you wish to exercise this right, or have any other related queries, you should write to us at:

Awareness of Policy Terms. When the Policy is issued , you are strongly advised to read it carefully, as it is that document, the schedule and any Certificate of Insurance that is the basis of the insurance contract you have purchased. If you are in doubt over any of the policy terms and conditions, please seek our advice promptly.
Charges. As brokers, we are normally paid commission by your insurance company or provider. We normally also make the following charges to cover the administration of your insurances:-
Mid term adjustments £10.00
Mid term cancellations £10.00
Renewal £3.00
Replacement/Duplicate Certificate £10.00
Bounced cheques £25.00
Return Premiums. (Usually arising if an insurance risk or policy is cancelled.)
On a return premium, we repay commission on the amount to your insurer and this will be deducted from the final amount to you. In view of the costs involved, we will not issue any return premium that is less than £15.00 (after deducting reclaimed commission). An amount less than £30.00 will be held to your credit and can be utilised against any future policy with us. If a policy is cancelled, we will refund any return premium due (after deduction of commission and our charge)
6. Customer Protection Information. It is our intention to provide you with a high level of customer services at all times. If there are occasions when we do not meet your standards, please contact Mr Stephen Goodrum either verbally or in writing, who will take your concerns. We will acknowledge in writing, advising you of who is dealing with your concerns and attempt to address your concerns within five working days. If our investigations take
longer, we will provide a full written response within twenty working days or explain our position and provide timescales for a full response.
7. Claims. When we receive notification of an accident that might give rise to a claim under your policy, we will inform the insurer without delay. We will advise you promptly of insurers' requirements concerning claims, including the provision as soon as possible of information required to establish the nature and extent of a loss. We will forward any payments received from insurers in respect of any claim, to you, without delay. We will notify you of any request for information we receive from your insurers.
8. Use for marketing purposes. We may use information held about you to provide you information about other products and services which we may offer and which we feel may be appropriate to you by e-mail, telephone, post or other means.
